The SONIClear bearing edge is the standard for all Storm shells and allows the drum heads to sit flatter and make better contact with the shell. The result is a stronger and deeper fundamental pitch, effortless and consistent tuning, and a significantly expanded tuning range.
The SONIClear™ on the rack toms increases overall resonance by preserving vibration in the drum heads and shell whilst preventing energy transfer to the hardware.
Storm double-braced hardware
The included Storm hardware features double-braced legs for robustness. They are 3 tier for maximum adjustment and cymbal placement. All Storm hardware features the new Mapex concave leg design for better positioning and greater stability throughout performances.
