The Epiphone Les Paul Studio produces powerful yet balanced tones that are ideal for classic rock styles. With its vintage tonality, the Les Paul Studio has that iconic sound that is loved by many of music’s legends.
Its Alnico open-coil humbuckers deliver tight, sparking highs and a deep, full-bodied low-end for a wonderfully versatile tone.
As well as a great tone, its mahogany construction also gives it durability. The mahogany body gives the guitar a warm, full and resonant tone with great sustain and depth, along with grind and bite, which is great for punchy rock music.
The neck and body are made from mahogany which is sturdy and provides good durability. These are coupled with a pau ferro fingerboard. Its neck is thin and fingerboard is smooth, the perfect combination that makes the Les Paul Studio easy to play.
Pau ferro is tonally in between ebony and rosewood. It's slightly brighter than rosewood but has the same depth and warmth. It also feels similar to ebony and is smooth. The Studio version is also slightly lighter than the Standard version, perfect for travelling with.
The Les Paul Studio is equipped with rock solid hardware. Its LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece are locked in place. They keep your guitar in tune and improve sustain. There are also Grover tuners that provide solid tuning stability, and make tuning fast and accurate.
The Alnico Classic uses a double vacuum waxing process that ensures quiet operation free from microphone hum. The pickup is first placed in a specialised wax vacuuming system before the cover is placed on the unit to ensure that the wax fully penetrates to the very centre of the pickup and solidifies all parts.
The Les Paul first entered the world in the early 1940s, when the legendary guitarist created the world's first solid body electric guitar that was known back then as 'The Log'. The Les Paul Studio was designed especially for artists who required a lightweight and more basic Les Paul, that would be more convenient for studio use. Introduced back in the early 80s, the Les Paul Studio instantly became a new alternative for Les Paul lovers of all ages and levels. Epiphone combines tradition, value and innovation to produce Les Paul guitars that both look and sound unbelievably close to their Gibson counterparts, at a more affordable price.
