The White Sand Luxe Drive is Keeley’s take on a low gain overdrive pedal, designing it to simulate a tube amps distortion when cranked up. The pedal offers asymmetrical clipping where one half of the signal is clipped more to simulate tube-like clipping and provide a tighter bass response with sparkling highs. The pedal also features a JFET input buffer to capture your pickups nuances without loading them down, providing a clean overdrive. When used with another overdrive pedal, or a cranked up amp, the White Sand Luxe Drive produces harmonic goodness whilst boosting the effect nicely.
Clean and Sandy Modes
The Keeley pedal features two modes of overdrive to choose from via a toggle switch. The clean mode offers a loud, full overdrive that features the warm growl of a slightly pushed preamp. The sandy mode produces a slightly grittier overdrive that features excellent amounts of sustain. Both modes offer a slight boost to your tone, providing a transparent overdrive that can pack a punch without taking away from your sound.
