View Full DescriptionThe Tech 21 SansAmp Character Series Oxford is as diverse as it is unique. It is capable of replicating classic 70s glam rock's greasy grit aswell as vintage metal grind. With the vintage tones also comes an abundance of contemporaries such as the sludgey roar of modern day stoner rock. Switching it up between transient cleans and crushing distortion the Oxford has a lot to offer to the modern day rock guitarist.
The Level and Drive controls work like a traditional, well-equipped amp. Low, Mid and High, however, are active, providing a wider array of tonal possibilities.
This continuously-variable control moves seamlessly between different model voicings, covering vintage, high-gain and face-melting lead tones. The Character and Mid controls, and the speaker emulations, are all engineered to personify the specific amplifier traits and speakers associated with each amplifier type.
