Key Features
A favourite on rock and blues stages across the globe, the Gibson Firebird hit the scene in 1963 and is still a guaranteed head-turner today. One of the most radical instruments the world has ever seen, the Firebird has helped to solidify Gibson's ranking as one of the greatest guitar manufacturers around. This stunning Classic White finish is as timeless as the Firebird itself, ensuring you'll be the envy of guitar players whenever you step on stage!
Product Ref: 31882
Designed by legendary visionary Ray Dietrich, the Firebird is modelled on the automobile tailfins of the 50's, with a touch of the radical look of the Gibson Explorer. The Firebird V 2010 has classic 'reverse body' styling and a 'hawks head' headstock.
The 'through-body' neck design of the Firebird increases sustain and resonance whilst upgrading the instrument's power with a pair of ceramic magnet mini-humbucking pickups.
The Rosewood fingerboard of the Firebird V is inlaid with acrylic trapezoid position markers, and provides a warm, rich and responsive tone with a clear and tight bass projection without overshadowing sparkling midrange or trebles.
The nitrocellulose Classic White finish is complemented by vintage-inspired design features such as the pearloid trapezoid fingerboard inlays, beveled headstock with black central section and Firebird pickguard motif. The overall look is close to that of the original 60's Firebird, but it roars like no 'Bird before.
