The Mesa Boogie Rectifier Recording Preamp is the perfect tool for both live sound and studio applications. It features dual outputs that can send a signal to a mixing desk/recording device and a guitar power amp simultaneously. The Recording Preamp is designed to let you take the same tones from the studio to the stage.

Real Valve Tone

Despite its compact 2U rack size, the Rectifier Recording Preamp features a complete collection of 12AX7 valves to give you the venerated preamp tones of the Mesa Boogie Rectifier series. The two channels feature 3 voices each, giving you a full 6 voices of preamp expression to refine your sound for any genre. The Recording output features Recto® Direct™ recording circuitry to send a signal directly to a recording device/mixing desk, while the Live output lets you send an unmodified preamp signal to a traditional guitar power amp.

Twin Channel Versatility with Circuits from the Dual, Triple & Road King

The two channels each feature 3 voice modes with circuits taken from Mesa Boogie's iconic range of amplifiers. Channel 1 features the Fat and Brit modes from the mighty Road King amplifier, while channels 2's high-gain preamp modes from the Dual & Triple Rectifier amps take your tone into glorious saturation for liquid smooth solos and articulate riffs.

Channel 1 also features a Bright and Pad switch, while channel 2 provides a Live Bright/Warm Record Switch. A foot switchable solo level control lets you set up a volume boost, while the Smart Power Modes (Deep, Half Drive or Modern) control this function on select Mesa Boogie Power Amps.

Multiple Connectivity

A parallel FX loop features a stereo return for use with stereo power amps, while the multiple outputs for Record and Live (with independent level) lets you integrate the Rectifier Recording Preamp in the studio and on stage. An included 2-button footswitch provides remote access to channel switching and the Solo level.
