The Seymour Duncan ‘59/Custom Custom Humbuckers

The Custom Tempest guitar features a set of Seymour Duncan humbuckers, delivering incredibly versatile tones with vintage tones and modern characteristics. In the neck position is the Seymour Duncan ’59, designed with a vintage voice inspired by the original PAF humbuckers of the 50s. The ’59 features full-sounding chords and a sweet sustain, offering full lows to add extra character to clean tones, boosted highs to improve pick attack clarity, and a slightly scooped midrange to deliver a smooth, open sound. The bridge position features Seymour Duncan’s Custom Custom humbucker, built with alnico 2 bar magnets and a medium hot output to create full, fat sounds with a warm character. The Custom Custom enhances the guitar with singing high and buttery lows, creating a tone saturated in rich midrange harmonics for a warm lower mid growl.

Push/Pull Capabilities

The Schecter is also equipped with a push/pull pickup coil tap, providing players with a huge amount of tonal options. Located on the tone control, the coil-tap allows the pickups to switch from a standard humbucker to a single-coil, expanding the guitar’s tonal possibilities and delivering an extremely versatile performance. While this feature is perfect for experimentation, it is also excellent for live situations when an array of tones are required.

Mahogany Body

The Left Handed Tempest Custom’s mahogany body delivers a naturally warm tone with a touch of bite, creating beautifully tights lows and an appealing high-end ideal for creating sharp tonal runs. Its sweet sonic punch and rich character delivers an excellent amount of depth, providing the guitar with an incredible sustain and resonance. The guitar also features black binding for a beautiful look, and a TonePros T3BT TOM bridge with a T1Z tailpiece for incredible string stability.

Mahogany Neck & Ebony Fingerboard

The 3-piece mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard combination provides the Schecter with tight, warm tones and a defined character. The two tonewoods work well together, creating an open midrange with a fast attack, a muscular, controlled bass, and a snappy, sizzling high-end. The neck’s thin 'C' profile is ideal for fast playing styles and speed runs, designed to allow the hand to naturally cup the neck for an incredibly comfortable playing experience. It also comes with many other features including Schecter locking machine heads, a Graph Tech nut, and split crown inlays made from mother of pearl.
