Key Features
At long last, the classic Teardrop electric guitar of the 1960s has been reborn in a new line from Vox. The MARK III Teardrop guitar in White continues the Vox legacy with great tone and an unusual look.
Product Ref: 40540
The original Teardrop guitar was introduced by Vox in 1963, starting with a prototype made specifically for Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones. It had a non-tremolo Fender Stratocaster bridge, and remained popular long after Vox discontinued the model in the 70s.
This new reissue has been upgraded with a tremolo arm for greater flexibility of performing style, and three single-coil pickups for an ample variety of sounds. The basswood body is married to a hard maple neck and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard, and the guitar is supplied with a soft case to protect it on the road.
