Featuring a pair of DMT Design humbucking pickups in the bridge and neck position, the Dean Icon X electric guitar delivers a powerful and punchy tone with plenty of bottom end and highs. The DMT Design humbuckers are perfect for a range of playing styles and music genres. They particularly excel when used for hard rock.

Basswood Body

The Dean Icon X features a basswood body, making this a lightweight guitar. The wood produces a thick, dynamic tone with good balance and power. It also offers a light and comfortable playing experience, and a bright sound that has plenty of twang. The basswoods sound is fat, with excellent levels of sustain and is topped with flame maple, which gives it a stunning appearance. The maple can also extend the tonal range of the basswood by giving it more depth.

Maple Neck With Jatoba Fingerboard

The smooth maple neck offers an incredibly bright and snappy tone; as well as excellent definition. The maple enhances the crispness of the basswood body, and has a sharp top end for a bass tone with good depth. Additionally, the C shaped maple neck provides smooth playability with a punchy tone. The neck also provides a comfortable playing experience, and easy navigation of the jatoba fingerboard. The jatoba fingerboard brings an earthy tone, as well as offering added amounts of projection.
