Key Features
Product Ref: 80384
First introduced in 1963, the original Epiphone Embassy bass became a popular choice amongst bass players due its solid body qualities. This new 2017 model takes its inspiration from this iconic bass and adds modern improvements for today's player. Its solid mahogany body now features a longer upper horn, which not only offers easier access to the higher frets, but also improves the overall balance of the guitar.
As well as offering a comfortable mahogany body, the Epiphone Embassy PRO Bass also features a 1960's SlimTaper neck profile. This mahogany neck offers the ultimate comfort with its slim vintage profile, and allows for fast and comfortable soloing. As well as providing fluid hand flexibility, the mahogany neck is fused to the mahogany body using a mortise an tenon joint, providing a traditional neck heel and the ultimate resonance. The mahogany neck also features a two-way adjustable truss rod for the perfect set up, and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets.
For that classic 1960 vintage tone, the Epiphone Embassy PRO Bass Guitar is equipped with a pair of ProBucker Bass Pickups. These pickups are crafted with same process as the ProBucker TM and P-90 PROTM, and feature 18% nickel silver covers with German manufactured Elektrisola Magnet wire, Alnico IV sand cast magnets, and braided coaxial lead wire. Each pickup is also wax potted to eliminate undesirable microphonics. Control knob options include Volume, Tone and Blend and feature "Barrel" knobs with metal inserts.
The Embassy PRO Bass Guitar features an adjustable Tune-O-Matic bridge, which is an extremely popular fixed bridge type due to its stability, reliability, comfortable playing position and impressive sustain.
