Key Features
Product Ref: 96115
The 4ms VCA Matrix provides you with a playable 4x4 matrix consisting of 16 VCAs, which utilise high-grade SSM chips for optimal performance. The VCA Matrix module provides full range bandwidth, ranging from 0Hz – 20kHz for all control and signal inputs. This allows for AM and other versatile effects. The matrix includes 4 CV and audio inputs complete with 4 outputs which are buffered and DC-coupled. The playable surface features 16 latching Mute LED buttons, with each button giving you the ability to mute each VCA individually. The Mute button will disconnect the control jack and level knob, while providing full attenuating of the VCA.
The Matrix is ideal for a wide range of applications from sequencing and mixing to acting as a splitter or dynamic signal router and even a limited waveshaper. Its versatile connectivity and streamline design means you can make changes on the fly and experiment to the max. 16 controls jacks are included for full VCA level control as well as 16 level knobs attenuating the incoming Control signals. The level knobs on the matrix double up as manual level controls when there isn’t anything plugged into the Control jack. One of the most prominent features on the VCA Matrix Module is the Soft Limit effect which is incorporated to prevent clipping of the signals. Whilst minimising clipping, it also responds to higher control voltages, providing added punch and wider pulses.
As a Eurorack module, the 4ms VCA Matrix is ideal as a keystone in any modular setup, with its robust design ideal for a range of uses. It can also be expanded by connecting VCA Matrices, forming a larger matrix by using header on the rear. You can also expand your control by using the 16-pin header on the rear of the PVC. This allows you to control all the VCAs from an external device, ideal for patch sequencing, preset patterns and more. The LED button brightness displays the attenuation amount, whilst controlling the CV signal. The attenuation and gain range is extended for optimal flexibility, providing a boost of up to +20db by adjusting the trimpot.
