GForce are pioneers in vintage synthesiser modelling, creating virtual instruments that capture the true character of classic analogue gear. Founded by Dave Spiers and Chris Macleod in 2003, the company was built on a simple idea: to make the tools they genuinely wanted to use themselves. With decades of experience in the music industry, their focus has always been on authenticity, musicality, and thoughtful design.
Each GForce instrument is individually engineered without relying on generic core code libraries. That means every plug-in has its own identity, carefully modelled to reflect the quirks and tone of the original hardware in tremendous detail. Their first release, the M-Tron Pro IV, revived the iconic Mellotron® in software form at a time when those sounds were largely overlooked. It quickly found an audience and became a favourite among in-the-box producers and musicians. The Oddity and impOSCar3 followed, with the latter widely recognised as a milestone in virtual synthesis. Its filters were so well regarded that variations were licensed by Spectrasonics for inclusion in Stylus RMX and Omnisphere.
Innovation has remained central to the brand. Minimonsta:Melohman introduced patch morphing for expressive performance control, challenging the idea that software instruments are static tools. Later releases, including the VSM IV, continued their commitment to reworking retro concepts for modern production.
For producers and players who value authenticity, depth, and thoughtful enhancements for today’s workflows, GForce instruments offer a carefully crafted way to bring classic synthesis into your setup.
G-Force software develops high-quality virtual synthesizer instruments. These virtual instruments emulate iconic hardware synths while offering modern enhancements and expanded features, operating as a plugin inside of your DAW.
DAWs that support AAX, VST2, and VST3 plugin formats are compatible with G-Force software. This ensures reliable performance across major digital audio workstations including Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, and Pro Tools.
