Eight Flanger modes

• Classic: This mode delivers that ''classic'' jet-plane liquid-silk flange sound, a favourite amongst players, recreating the same studio-quality tones of old-school automatic double tracking.
• Through-Zero: An authentic tape-style flange, Through-Zero is ideal for achieving intensified, swirling, dramatic phase cancellation with a comb-filtering effect.
• Barber Pole (Up/Down): These two modes offer an infinite sweep going upwards or downwards with no noticeable beginning, middle, or end. This is perfect for creating an ''endless circular staircase'' effect derived from the iconic Shephard Tone auditory illusion commonly found in films, Tv, and games.
• Trigger (Up/Down): Choose to create infinite upward or downward sweeping flanges which restart the cycle with each pick attack or by pressing the tap/trigger footswitch. These modes also allow for side chain flanging, letting you connect an external control source (drum machine, sequencer, CV) to trigger the flanger while you play another instrument.
• Step: Lets you sweep up and down in stepped increments, creating a rhythmic flange effect like an arpeggiator or a sequencer found on synths.
• Random: This is ideal for injecting your tone with a chaotic flange effect, producing a sweep that goes up and down in random intervals.

Equipped with user-definable presets, a first for any EarthQuaker Devices pedal, players can create a variety of custom tones that can be quickly and easily recalled when needed. This pedal is equipped with tap tempo, tap subdivision, a multi-function modify control, feedback capabilities, a variable mix knob and controls for manual, rate and width, ensuring you can let your creativity flow.

Flexi switch & true bypass

The EarthQuaker Devices Pyramids Stereo Flanger has been engineered with a true bypass feature in order to enhance its performance capabilities, which maintains its signal integrity when the pedal is switched off, and a soft-touch switch for a silent and smooth operation. This effect pedal also features EarthQuaker’s intuitive flexi switch, letting you switch from the traditional latching mode to momentary mode to create unique ‘stutter’ effects. The momentary operation is ideal for highlighting short musical passages with the effect briefly engaged, such as during intermittent solo moments. Along with its incredible tonal capabilities, the EarthQuaker Devices Pyramids Stereo Flanger also features stereo ins and outs, providing players with a wide variety of routing options for both stage and studio applications. The addition of an expression pedal input allows external control over the pedal’s manual control, letting you create even more unique soundscapes.
