Boasting a large funnel-shaped Helleberg type cup, the Besson 2L mouthpiece has a clean and clear sound. John Helleberg was the principal tuba of the world famous John Phillip Sousa Band
The massive cup found on the 2L mouthpiece combined with the huge throat results in a colossal low register. Thanks to the huge tone of this mouthpiece, it is suitable for a range of musical ensembles, including brass bands.

Classic Mouthpieces are based on Denis Wick's original designs. The aim is to offer a sound that is clear and precise, while also providing a centered and controlled sound. Rather than standard convex outer designs, Denis Wick Classic mouthpieces do the opposite. The result is a richer upper register and a more responsive mouthpiece. Classic mouthpieces are available for all sizes of instrument: from the smallest soprano right up to the largest BBb tuba.
